Ten Years of Treibstoff

V/A - Ten Years of Treibstoff (Treibstoff)

1997 was the year that Marcel Janovsky and René Breitbarth launched the Treibstoff imprint and since then, the label has released an array of Tech-House and Techno delicacies. The Cologne based label has championed both slimline key groovers and clunkier efforts, with this two disc set featuring old and new winners. Disc 1 mixed by Marcel Janovsky contains material from 2007 and features gems such as René Breitbarth’s jerky “Version666” and Todd Bodine’s euphoric “Different Floors”. Disc 2 contains interviews with Treibstoff artists that are both hilarious and insightful, whilst musical highlights from the archives include Marcel Janovsky’s synthilating “Shopping” (2002) and Novatek’s key led “Sabroso” (2002). A Technoid gem.
