Dim Dim

Jerry Dimmer - Dim Dim (Music For Dreams)

In the past Monsieir Dimmer was a professional cartoonist and his love of colourful characters and quirkiness can be seen in his music. Dim Dim takes music influences from all over the place and features all manner of computer and vocal silliness, but the album is very listenable despite Dimmer’s eccentricities. This Bruxxelles based producer’s music is brighter than his name would suggest with choice moments on this album including the guitar driven “Flavia”, a proto-reggae effort entitled “T-hop” and the calming “You and Me”. Dimmer shows that easy listening electronic music can be silly without being annoying.
